Children's imaginations are the most exciting, either playing with their toys or outside playing with animals real or imaginative. The author is trying to be that child playing on their own in the woods with different animals in each book. Woods can be very interesting and exciting to the young, it can also make them feel like they are big boys and girls by climbing trees, finding things and seeing the animals that roam the woods.
