LUCY GRIG is a Senior Lecturer in Roman History in the Department of Classics at the University of Edinburgh. She has published widely on the social, cultural and religious history of Late Antiquity, and is the editor of Popular Culture in the Ancient World (Cambridge, 2017) and the author of Making Martyrs in Late Antiquity (2004).
