Autorenporträt
Ben Nearingburg grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, where he lived for many years and completed BSc and PhD degrees in engineering. Since 2017, he has lived in Jasper where he and his partner Katerina can often be found roaming ridges and traversing trails. Ben is a certified hiking guide and operates his own backpacking, guiding, and photography business (Starry Summit Mountain Adventures). For lengthier rambles, be sure to check out Ben's other published work (along with co-author Eric Coulthard), A Peakbagger's Guide to the Canadian Rockies: North (Rocky Mountain Books, 2017), describing a varied collection of hikes, scrambles, climbs, and ski tours leading to some of the most iconic summits in the Jasper region.
