This book helps to understand the extent and dimensions of vulnerability of the aged population in India. Due to population expansion, soon, India is going to be the second largest home of the total elderly population on this planet. However, growing older in this country still bears the challenges of security in late life, mainly, because of extensive poverty, inadequate social benefits, and insufficient healthcare facilities. Considering multi-faceted old-age vulnerabilities, our study attempts to identify the most vulnerable group so that policies can be designed to reach needy individuals.
