JOSÉ F. GODOY (1851-1930), diplomat, biographer, journalist and Mexican writer. Although Mexican, he lived in the U.S. since the 1860s and began his political and diplomatic career in the 1880s. He was Vice-Consul in San Francisco and then First Secretary of the Mexican Embassy in Washington D.C.
