Ben Licata got in a lot of trouble as a teenager. This trouble eventually led him to his own personal battles with addiction. Ben, by God's grace and with the helping hand of others, was able to get clean and turn his life around. He was so inspired by his personal freedom that he wanted to spend the rest of his life helping others achieve the same. Ben became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and took a job at River Oaks Psychiatric Hospital helping drug addicts and alcoholics get clean. One day they were looking for someone to start working with their influx of sex addicts, which was a new phenomenon at the time. Ben was their choice. Ben then started his own private practice called Lighthouse Counseling and after years of helping sex addicts, he eventually became a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. Ben was personally trained by Dr. Patrick Carnes who created the model for sex addiction therapy. Ben has since become a sex addiction therapist supervisor and trained many other counselors to do this work. He has seen thousands of clients and couples experience life change, freedom, and healing and he would love to help you experience the same. Sometimes our choices in life land us in a pit of trouble, and we could all use a hand to get ourselves out of that hole.
