A derelict farm on the hill above the harbour is the centre of a story involving the two main characters. Can the divorced penniless victim of an abusive childhood, teenage rape, forced and abusive marriage to a violent husband ever trust a man again and if so enough to find affection? Equally, can a recently divorced ex-serviceman whose wife was repeatedly unfaithful ever trust a woman again with his heart? Is this going to end tragically like Romeo and Juliet or will love triumph over the odds?

The author is married and lives in the UK, in the Yorkshire Dales. An avid reader of all genres since an early age and particularly of romance in recent years. Pursuing a career as an engineer, preparing legal reports stifled the creative need. Now able to express their imagination, the author's main wish for the reader is that they enjoy reading the novel as much as the author did writing and exploring the characters.
