Hailing from a literary family, Alan draws inspiration from his own upbringing in Wicklow, Ireland, for his children's book series. The stories center around the adventures of Josie, a character inspired by Alan's niece and the enchanting landscapes of Wicklow. Through Josie's journeys around the island, readers are introduced to a world brimming with mystical creatures and rich folklore, showcasing the magical essence of Ireland.
