Carlos Morais, PhD in Literature, University of Aveiro wrote his thesis on the Sophoclean trimeter, published as O Trímetro Sofocliano: variações sobre um esquema (Lisboa, FCT/FCG, 2010). His main areas of research include Greek literature and the reception of Classical drama. Lorna Hardwick, Emeritus Professor of Classical Studies, Open University, UK, is Honorary Research Associate at the Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama, University of Oxford. She is co-editor of the Classical Presences series (OUP) and founding editor of the Classical Receptions Journal. Maria de Fátima Silva, PhD in Literature with a thesis on Theatre criticism in Ancient Greek Comedy, is Full Professor of Classical Studies at the University of Coimbra.She has published several translations and written extensively on Greek Tragedy and Comedy and its modern reception. Contributors to this volume are: Inês Alves Mendes, Rosa Andújar, Maria do Céu Fialho, Maria de Fátima Silva, Maria Fernanda Brasete, Lorna Hardwick, Aurora López, Carlos Morais, Konstantinos Nikoloutsos, Andrés Pociña, Ália Rosa Rodrigues, Nuno Simões Rodrigues, and Stéphanie Urdician.
