El Prof. Dr. Mhd Ikhwanuddin y el Prof. Dr. Abol Munafi son investigadores activos en el Centro de Excelencia de la Institución Superior (HICoE), del Instituto de Acuicultura y Pesca Tropical (AKUATROP), de la Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). Sus intereses de investigación incluyen la tecnología de cría de moluscos y las prácticas de cultivo de larvas para la producción de semillas.
