Produktbeschreibung
Fossil fuel continue to provide the largest percentage of energy for transport, industry and power generation. The emission of carbon dioxide, often more than 13 percent, from combustion of the fuels is a key threat that has been found to be the driving force behind climate change. Although efforts are underway to develop alternative fuels, fossil fuels will continue to provide energy in the short to medium term. In this book a post combustion carbon capture mechanism has been demonstrated to provide an effective carbon mitigation process. In this book, wet scrubbing using a variety of solutions has demonstrated positive influence in carbon control. In this system different parameters such as flow rate, temperature and concentration of scrubbing solution show varied effect on performance. Further improvement of this system will lead to development of a cost effective technology that can be deployed to combustion devices that utilize fossil fuel as a source of energy. This information provides insights to designers who are developing fossil fuel based energy devices.
