Post-Urban Songs is an outburst of sophisticated underground poetry, erratic and psychedelic. Here, poetry is always considered as a fragmentary and rhapsodic act, one which never deals with ordinary life and mainstream experience. It is an ensemble of roaring voices, clenching fists, dilating eyes, and even metamorphosing bodies. Unusual characters live in a visionary world, almost a parallel reality, where the emotions, urges, impulses, conflicts, and desperate search for happiness and intellectual freedom are almost the same as in our material world. All the poems in this second edition of Post-Urban Songs were written between the late 1980s and 2010. However, before being published, they have been revised, corrected, and updated. As the circumstances of their composition have hardly any poetic relevance, the chronological order has been disregarded.
