The author is a career scientist conferred by theDepartment of Science and Technology and CivilService Commission of the Philippines. He is a seniorresearcher at the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization and an affiliate professor in Central Luzon State University (Philippines)in plant pathology and mycology.
