The study examined Causes of Postharvest Losses Of the,assess the extent of Postharvest Losses of tomato, examined the effects of Postharvest Losses of tomato and assess both the efforts of government and the private sector in reducing Postharvest Losses of tomato. The study discovered through findings that Postharvest Losses of tomato and other Agricultural produce are caused by different factors such as, lack investment in processing of Agricultural produce, absent of extension services, poor rural roads network system and lack of storage facilities. To arrest this problem that has been affecting farmers in Africa and Nigeria in particular, the researcher discovered through findings that investment in Agricultural processing, access to extension services by farmers, improvement in rural network system and the provision of storage facilities will go along in reducing farm produce after harvest.

Kumayemen hat einen M.Sc. in ländlicher Soziologie und landwirtschaftlicher Beratung und einen B.Sc. in Soziologie, beide von der Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria. Sie ist verheiratet und hat drei Kinder.
