This work focuses on the philosophical, cultural and scientific aspects of postmodernism. It examines its aesthetic and methodological influence on life on an international scale. After studying the factors linked to post-modernity as a culture, the article illustrates the socio-philosophical debate launched in France in the second half of the 20th century by Jean-François Lyotard and enriched by Michel Foucoult, Roland Barthes, Jean Baudrillard, Jacques Derrida and Gilles Deleuze. The ideas of modern mythology such as the reduction of everyday topics of discussion to simulacra of thoughts, the deconstruction of truth, the hypothesis of the simultaneous existence of the "pluralism of truths" as well as other approaches such as postcolonialism have been gradually internalised in human intellectual life.
