Restoring endodontically treated teeth is a challenge when insufficient coronal tooth structure remains to support a restoration, and the post is commonly used to retain the core. Post and core systems have been used to restore endodontically treated tooth for more than 250 years. Many in-vitro studies have investigated various factors that affect retention of a post. However, very few studies have been done to evaluate the effect of different surface treatment on retention of Glass fiber post, Carbon fiber post and Cast metal posts.
