Sadia Afrin has completed B.Sc.(Hons.) and M.Sc. degree in Botany from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She was offered a research project on "Isolation of pigment producing bacteria from Sundarban Forest soil" and was guided by Prof. Dr. Mihir Lal Saha. She is a PhD fellow at Central South University, Changsha, China.
