Moringa oleifera is one of such alternative, being investigated to ascertain its effect on growth and yield of crops and thus can be promoted among farmers as a possible supplement or substitute to inorganic fertilizers. Among naturally occurring plant growth stimulants, Moringa oleifera has attained enormous attention because of having cytokinin in addition to other growth enhancing compounds like ascorbates, phenolics, other antioxidants along with macro- micro nutrients in its leaves. With these properties, spraying application of moringa leaf extract (MLE) was done in spinach, pea , sudan grass and common bean to evaluate its efficacy as crop growth enhancer. The objective was to optimize dose and extraction method of moringa leaf, enhancement of growth, yield under normal and abiotic stresses (salinity and drought).
