This book brings together three articles whose central theme is poverty in Peru. Poverty remains a constant and central core of the economic and social problems of Peru, on the verge of 200 years of political independence; a significant proportion of the Peruvian population has limited access to basic goods and services, being forced to survive confined to the margins of society, excluded from opportunities and benefits of national production, which by their status as individuals and citizens should correspond to them.
