SARAH OWEN VANDERSLUIS is a PhD student in the Department of International Relations at the London School of Economics. She is writing a thesis on the ethics, culture and freer trade agreements. She is the editor of The State and Identity Construction in International Relations (2000) , and is a former editor of Millennium: Journal of International Studies. PARIS YEROS is a PhD student in the Department of International Relations at the London School of Economics. He is writing a thesis on citizenship and social movements in Southern Africa. He is the editor of Ethnicity and Nationalism in Africa (1998) and is a former editor of Millennium: Journal of International Studies.
