This Book consists of five chapters. Chapter one is based on background situations, statement of problem/justification for the study, the scope of study, aim and objectives as well as the research methodology. Chapter two is centered on the conceptual framework /theoretical framework and the literature review. Chapter three discusses the study area, geographical setting, historical background socio-economic activities of street children and cart pushers at the selected local government areas. Chapter four was devoted on the characteristics and problems of cart pushers and the street children bearing in mind the following: socio-cultural and economic characteristics, sociological/psychological characteristics, problems of cart pushers and street children, health conditions, amount paid for refuse disposal, law enforcement agents and awareness of government assistance. Chapter five offers recommendations, policy proposals, conclusion and implications for future research.
Autorenporträt
Taiwo holds a B.Tech (Hons) Urban & Regional Planning from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria in 1997. He also obtained a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from University of Ibadan in 2004. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners and a Registered Town Planner.He has a number of articles to his credit.
