This work presents the power flow control in the transmission network using a new FACTS device, i.e., Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) to relieve power congestion on the grid. The active and reactive power flows of all the buses are shown before and after the installation of UPFC. UPFC is one of the most promising FACTS devices to power flow control and enhances stability.
