The purpose of this paper is to analyse the activities of the United Russia party. The text examines various aspects of this party's political activities, which together characterise it as an authoritarian organisation: coercion of the electorate, its conformisation, violation of constitutional rights, lies and mythologisation, election rigging, tight control of the media, intolerance of dissent and abolition of the opposition. The main message of this study is that United Russia is not a party, but a corporation which does not express the interests of any stratum of society, but its own narrowly corporate interests. The author provides a rather serious evidence base, which consists of numerous literary sources as well as personal experience of observing the phenomena taking place in the political arena of modern Russia.
