Nowadays, power quality problems are observed in different industries throughout the world. Therefore, this study presents the observations of power quality problems and mitigation methods at Debre Berhan Blanket Factory (DBBF) in Debre Berhan, Ethiopia. There are different power quality problems in DBBF. For instance, there is high voltage variation, which is varied between 365 Volts and 385 Volts, during the starting and stopping of the motors. In the factory they use power factor correction and periodical maintenance to mitigate the power quality problems. From the performed inspection, the factory is not paying much attention for power quality problems. The two major reasons are the current status of the company and cost which is needed to make the necessary power quality studies. This work can be used as a guideline for other factory owners and researchers.
