It is an honor and a joy for me to write this brief book in order to meet the demand for a practical course on the nutrition assessment for all students in the dietetic, clinical nutrition and nutrition science departments of universities, health institutions and research centers. The purpose of the book is to give students access to assessment systems and procedures, international benchmarks and reference values for determining an individual's and a population's nutritional status. I've included a few examples since, in my opinion, they are a crucial component of nutrition assessment in a clinical setting or during a field survey. There are five chapters of this book, which are as follows, chapter one: methods of nutrition assessment, chapter two: nutrition assessment of pediatrics, chapter three: nutrition assessment of adults, chapter four: nutrition screening and chapter five: dietary methods and estimation of nutrients requirement. I'm hoping that students, dietitians, and researchers of dietetic and nutrition would find this book interesting and find value in its information.
