It would therefore be wise to look at the use of French in the family unit in order to determine the type or level of French spoken.Our research entitled: "The practice of French in households in Abidjan: what functions, what uses?" will therefore focus on the role of the French language in Ivorian households, and then on the uses made of it by the speakers.
