The purpose of this study was to assess the practices and challenges in strategic plan implementation in Dire Dawa Administration Education Bureau. The purpose of this study was to assess the practices and challenges in strategic plan implementation in Dire Dawa Administration Education Bureau. The findings of the study reflect that the current practices in strategic plan implementation in DDAEB has been characterized by inadequate resources, lack of regularly update, and review monitoring data, lack of incentive, lack of management commitment and lack of mechanisms for monitoring implementation of strategic plan. Hence, it is recommended that DDAEB need to minimize these challenges by providing adequate and relevant trainings on strategic plan implementation and and and increasing the participation of all stakeholders in strategic plan implementation by improving participatory planning, decision making processes.

El autor nació en Deder en septiembre de 1982. Obtuvo su diploma universitario en matemáticas en la Escuela de Maestros de Jimma en 2002, y su licenciatura en matemáticas en la Universidad de Haramaya en 2007. Desde entonces, ha trabajado como profesor de matemáticas en una escuela pública durante tres años, como jefe de la oficina de educación de Woreda y como jefe de DDAEB.
