He is an expert in the treatment of adult intimacy disorders and related addictions. A clinical sexologist and practicing psychotherapist, he has created intimacy-focused clinical treatment programs in the US, overseas, and for the US military. He serves as a subject matter expert for major media outlets including CNN, NPR, The New York Times, and Newsweek, among others. He is the author of ten books, including Prodependence, Sex Addiction 101, and Out of the Doghouse. His Psychology Today blog, "Love and Sex in the Digital Age," has had over 20 million readers, while his podcast, "Sex, Love, and Addiction," has generated more than 900,000 eager listeners since its inception in 2019. Kim Buck, PhD, LPC, is the owner of Aspire Counseling Services and an executive team member at Family Strategies Counseling Center. Dr. Buck is a practicing licensed professional counselor and clinical sexologist, who is highly specialized in the treatment of adult problematic sexual behaviors and the challenges associated with intimate betrayal. She creates curriculum, trains and supervises clinicians, and educates the public in a variety of forums. She gratefully serves as a clinical consultant to the HOPE Mental Health Foundation (501(c)(3)) that raises funds to provide specialized mental health services to local underserved communities. Kim resides in Arizona with her husband of 31 years, and together they have two adult children.
