Pregnancy is a process lived by each woman as a unique experience that involves a series of psychological, physiological, social, and emotional transformations, and in most cases this is a natural and healthy process. There are several challenges that arise during this phase of life, and there is a need to adapt to each situation in a healthy way. Thus, it is important that families, in particular pregnant women/couples, are well informed about the fundamental aspects concerning conception, pregnancy, childbirth, and the growth and development of their children. Pregnant women/couples need access to credible information about the physiology of labor, based on the assumption that childbirth is a normal, natural, and healthy event. The Childbirth Preparation and Parenting Programs are designed to meet the needs of pregnant women/couples, fostering their parenting skills and active participation.
