In many developing countries like ours maternal morbidity and mortality still poses a substantial burden. Globally maternal mortality has declined by 47% since 1990, this shows the result of several global interventions such as MDG's. In Ethiopia maternal mortality and morbidity is among the highest in the world and now we have entered to the sustainable development goals phase(SDG's) so educating mothers on obstetric danger signs and their early detection is one very pivotal step to achieve the desired goal which is decreasing maternal mortality and maintain it low.
