Various medicinal plants are also effective against oral problems, which are increasing and there is lack of public understanding about the oral health. In view of these considerations and increasing necessity, importance of the medicinal plants for human welfare & on the basis of Ethnobotanical information, present work of phytochemistry and antibacterial activity of Psidium guajava and Solanum xanthocarpum has been taken up. The selected plants showed promising results against staphylococcus albus and Nocardia corinebacteriodes. This book therefore provides information to botanist, pharmacist, and practitioner of Ayurvedas as well as people who want to opt for herbal or crude plants material which provides complete oral health care.
