New pathogens arise and new diseases occur.Viruses are responsible for the numerous diseases that occur to most of the organisms including human beings. The present study evaluated antiviral potential of Premna latifolia Roxb. against Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV). P. latifolia was found to inhibit the growth of NDV which might be due to the components in the plant extract that interferes with the replication of the viruses in the allantoic cavity.
