The objective of this research is to identify the causes of late attendance of mothers at the first prenatal consultation in the Murara health area. To achieve this objective, we used statistical, analytical, and descriptive methods accompanied by documentary, interview, and sampling techniques, as well as a survey questionnaire. With regard to the demographic causes of late attendance of mothers at the first prenatal consultation in the Murara health area, 100% of the women responded that age could be the reason for late attendance at ANC (see Table 11). 52.1% of the women said that the marital status of the pregnant woman could be the reason for late attendance at ANC; 7.5% said that unmarried women come late to the ANC because they are afraid of being seen; 37.5% said it was because of a lack of confidentiality on the part of the health personnel and 25% said it was because they were afraid of being expelled from school (see table n°14).
