The aim of this dissertation is to measure and compare the level of perceived stress in women carrying an unwanted pregnancy and those carrying a wanted pregnancy, and also to analyze the contrasting effects of an unwanted pregnancy (GND) versus a wanted pregnancy (GD) by the woman carrying it on the nature of the affective relationships between the mother and the child born, in general, and on the degree and type of attachment between the mother and the child born, in particular. Using two scales (SSP14 and ERAEN) and interviews, a comparative study was carried out with 20 GD carriers and 20 GND carriers from Kabare and Bukavu.
