This journey has not produced the desired results concerning deliverance from Sin and the deep need of mankind, which is all found in a relationship with God and how He created mankind, which leads to Eternal Life to include Biblical wholeness in the present.
Rev. Jerry J. Liversage was born in1956 in Inglewood, California. By the time he was in the sixth grade, Jerry had begun experimenting with alcohol, which led to a life of drug abuse. Jerry began a life of drug sales to support his drug habit of marijuana, cocaine, LSD, and methamphetamine until he was arrested on two different occasions.In 1980, Jerry had an approximate one-year period of sobriety after an encounter with God, but shortly after he was back on his destructive behavioral patterns of drug and alcohol abuse until August 1989. During that year, and while going through an "almost" completed process of divorce (he was married in 1982), Jerry rededicated his life to Jesus Christ by His Grace. During a deeper resolve to God and His Word, Jerry's marriage to Holly was restored, and eventually he went back to college while working in a warehouse managerial position for a large grocery company in So. California.Jerry's main purpose to return to college was for a God-ordained leading into full-time ministry. He eventually served as a music director for six years, and a Senior Pastor for eight years before going into full time evangelism. He received his education at Cross Style International Ministries, Anaheim Christian College, Nazarene Bible College, Association of Christian Alcohol & Drug Counselors College, Breining College Institute and New Gate College.Along with Jerry's undergraduate education, he holds a master's degree in Biblical Addiction Counseling (MBAC) and a Doctor of Biblical Addition Counseling (DBAC). Jerry is also a Registered Addiction Specialist (RAS), which is a national credential.Today, Jerry is a Pastor and the founder of Jerry Liversage Ministries, Inc., and Responding Recovery Ministries. He has authored and published two Christian based recovery books, recorded a DVD teaching series on Biblical recovery, and recorded a Gospel album with his wife Holly and daughter Reanna.
