To show the relationship between language and ideology, the authors of this book applied Van Dijk's (2004) Critical Discourse Analysis model. They decided to choose the Persian translation of Stephen Hicks's "Explaining post-modernism, Skepticism and Socialism from Rousseau to Foucault".The preservation of the ideological aspects of the author was traced in this book through a very careful content analysis of the source text by using online soft wares in recognizing the most frequent content words which carried the implicit and explicit means of the author in presenting his ideological stances and finding out whether the translators preserved those means or not was the focus of the authors research. The qualitative analysis of the corpus of this study revealed that the Persian translators could not avoid their own ideological stance and imposed it over the author ideological purpose. The moderate obtained correlation (Kendall's:0.550 and Spearman's rho:0.653 ) of non-parametric testshave also indicated that the translators could preserve the author's ideological stands in an acceptable but not perfect way.
