Salmonellosis is one of the most common and widely distributed food-borne diseases, and presence of antimicrobial resistant Salmonella is a global public health problem. Although there are a few of studies done on the prevalence and antimicrobial susceptibility of Salmonella species in the region, they are not age-specific, and the prevalence and antimicrobial susceptibility of Salmonella species is dynamic from time to time and from place to place. So, updated information on their prevalence and resistance patterns is very important for proper selection and use of antimicrobial agents in a setting. Therefore, to conduct this study, different contents are adhered such as objectives, methods, results, discussion, conclusion and recommendations.
