After laboratory test, results will be sent back to the farmers and veterinary officers to treat properly positively infected cows and to set up appropriate biosecurity measures to control and eradicate ticks in Rwanda. High mortality and morbidity are observed among Girinka cows. Farmers have insufficient knowledge on modes of transmission of bovine anaplasmosis through ticks and poor knowledge about tick control. This causes bovine anaplasmosis to be endemic in that region, where it causes serious economic losses to cattle farmers esecially Girinka farmers.

I am veterinary doctor graduated in 2013 from umutara polytechnic currently university of Rwanda college of Agriculture, Animal science and veterinary medicine school medicine Nyagatare campus.Since 2015 up to present I am working as assistant lecturer at Rwanda Polytechnic/ integrated polytechnic regional college in the department of veterinary.
