The objective of writing this book was to identify the ectoparasite species significantly affecting small ruminants and the associated risk factors which were exposing them to ectoparasites; as result;the skin defect and other related infections. The study was comparing disease spread in three agroecologies of Wolaita Zone, SNNPRs, Ethiopia. The study used cross sectional study design and simple random sampling technique with total 720 sampling population (346 Caprine and 374 Ovine species) examined for presence of different ectoparasites fauna. Purposely selected three woredas; Highland, Midland and Lowland areas and from each three kebeles, totally 12 peasant associations (PA) were selected and the research was conducted. As result different ecoparasite species of Ovine and Caprine were identified and analyzed to know the most significant ectoparasite species in the study area. Tick burden was also analyzed.
