End stage renal diseases are still a public health issue. The ESRD prevalence is increasing every day and these depend on different risk factors. The main treatment is on maintenance hemodialysis or renal transplant. Patients under maintenance hemodialysis are at a high risk in developing viral infection because of high levels of uremia, as a known factor to make ESRD patients more susceptible cause of defects on cellular immunity, neutrophil function and complement activation. Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C infections represent a high issue to patients under hemodialysis treatment and to renal transplant graft carrier. They can cause renal failure from glomerulonephritis that can lead to renal transplant.
