Learning disability has been area of least concern amongst other disabilities in India. These children are greatly associated with academic difficulties and poor scholastic performance. This leads to feeling of neglect among students with learning disability, drops out from the school, emotional and behavior problems and might be antisocial behavior. The present study helps in recognizing the proportion of rural school going population in Punjab affected by learning disabilities so that steps can be taken to improve the system of education delivery and achieve equality in education for all by adopting various teaching methods e.g.: Combined integrated learning program (CILP), use of flashcards with reading racetrack, problem solving approach, computer assisted cognitive training.This study aims to find out the prevalence of learning disability specific to middle aged school going children by using LDDI.
