Prevalence of Placental Malaria in Parts of Anambra State South Eastern Nigeria is an Experimental Research conducted in some localities in the three senatorial zones of the state to evaluate the Prevalence intensity and mortality rate due to Malaria infection in Nigeria. Anambra State was chosen for the study due to its heterogeneous nature in terms of weather, environmental cleanliness, occupation, antenatal care, residential and educational status of the mother which play major roles in the status of the fetus. Also considered is the general effect of Placental Malaria on the unborn baby, Parity of the Mother, Gravida to ascertain whether number of pregnancies improves immunity in the pregnant women. Placental Malaria was also matched with jaundice in babies as well as still-Birth, other parameters were equally measured such as the weight of the babies and the weight of the placenta. Finally, some control and preventive measures were suggested. Prevalence of Placental Malaria in Parts of Anambra S/E Nigeria is a well researched piece of work in malaria study especially among the unborn and neonates.It is a must read for scholars and policy makers in malaria.
