In December 2019, the world was hit by an unprecedented pandemic. At the origin of this one, a virus of the family of Coronaviridae; the SARS-COV-2, responsible for a new pathology affecting the human respiratory system: the Coronavirus disease also called COVID-19. The rapid spread of the disease worldwide has caused a major international health and economic crisis. Many studies are underway to eradicate this disease. The genomic sequencing of SARS-COV-2 has revealed numerous mutations in its genome, particularly in its surface glycoprotein: protein S or SPIKE (Pic).The present study consisted in determining the prevalence of SARS-COV-2 variants in COVID-19 positive individuals in Bamako, Mali.
