Restoration of human affected areas is highly discussed issue in these days. There are many methods of restoration based on the type of ecosystem. There are possibilities to use spontaneous succession as a very effective way of abandoned quarries restoration. This book deals with an issue of primary succession within abandoned quarries on the example of three small scale clay schist quarries in Opava district. It is based on geological, pedological and phytocenological research. This work brings pilot data and further study is needed.
