French textbooks are often dogmatic, if not grammatically implicit. This explains its deterioration in countries where it is not the mother tongue of the population. However, French has imposed itself there for historical reasons. This work proposes to apply HJELMSLEV's principle of empiricism in language acquisition. That is, the theory must be as simple as possible, without contradiction and exhaustive. Thus, with the weapons of generative grammar and pragmatics, we present here a grammar that leaves nothing in the dark, at the same time analytical and very economical in terms of learning. This book is aimed at anyone who wants to learn French on their own and also by its numerous references to trained linguists.
