Yi Hong Ong graduated with a BEng degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He obtained his PhD degree from the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. His research is focused on optical instrument development for biomedical imaging.
