Drop-out problem in Indo-Bangladesh region has been a burning one. When the area in question is 24- PGS(N) the problem becomes all the more complex. Dr. Mondal's study tries to unveil the problems and the reasons underneath this severe malady. This study lucidly explains several key issues like dropout, the role of SSA, funding of Govt., RTE Act 2009, CWSN, IEDC, wastage and stagnation, remedies, etc. A note on The Draft of National Education 2016 adds to the contemporaneity of this study. Calculating the dropout using the COHORT method has been discussed in a student friendly way. Reasons for dropout in bordering areas have been highlighted with hints at systematic way-out. This study will be helpful for both students, researchers and teachers with shared interest. Dr. Mondal's sound understanding and scientific presentation of the problem makes the study an effective reading and learning experience.
