To become a member of the Christian Church, one has to be baptized. Therefore, baptism is a Christian ritual enshrined in the Bible and is a matter to be handled with caution. This ritual marks the entrance of the candidate into the visible body of the Christian Church. After baptism the candidate is to develop the faith in Christ, confirmed at baptism and should dream for the future Kingdom of God in Christ Jesus. Some candidates do ask how many times someone should be baptized in life, emanating from what some preachers articulate. The explanations and more are handled in this study. We will consider baptism from the time of John the Baptist, Jesus, up to some activities carried out when someone becomes a Christian. Jesus too was baptized like any other person. We shall examine the story of Jesus' baptism to know what baptism was intended to be. Then, we shall go on to consider the words of Jesus concerning baptism, practices of baptism and the possible continuation of the ritual. Then we shall talk about infant Baptism and continue with sin, suffering and other activities which other believers think actually make them more Christians than others.
