Inherent in the philosophy of democracy is the right of all children to develop to their maximum potential. Public education in different nations has been founded on the preposition that educational opportunities must be provided to all children who can benefit from them so that they develop to their maximum potential. The goal of providing education and rehabilitate to the persons with disability has been taken up seriously only recently in India. Research studies on special education in India are very few indeed. Attempts were made to compare the nature, choice, interest and academic achievement of children with Hearing Impairment (HI) and children with non-HI but the problems of the students and teachers of a special schools are least researched area. The present study is an attempt in this direction to study the problems of teachers and students of the special schools for HI.
