His major areas of research interests include advanced metal casting, metal forming, tribology and surface engineering, and advanced materials characterization. He is focusing at constructing a quantitative and predictive understanding of the phenomena underlying the materials development for industrial applications by employing a variety of experimental and computational tools to establish process-structure-property relationships in materials. He has published 2 patents, 30 papers in respected international journals, and 4 book chapters. Dr. T. S. Srivatsan is a professor (Emeritus) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Akron (Akron, Ohio, USA). He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E., 1980) from Bangalore University (Bangalore, India) and graduate degrees [Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering (M.S. 1981) and Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering (Ph.D. 1984) from Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, Georgia, USA). Dr. Srivatsan joined as the faculty in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Akron in August 1987. Dr. Mamilla Ravi Sankar is the assoc. professor of Mechanical Engineering at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Tirupati, India. Prior to joining IIT Tirupati, he served at IIT Guwahati for about 7 years. He obtained his B.Tech. (Mechanical) from S. V. University College of Engineering, Tirupati, and M.Tech. and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), Uttar Pradesh, India. His major areas of research interests include advanced machining processes, abrasive micro and nanofinishing, additive and smart manufacturing, sustainable machining processes, advanced material (biomaterial, polymers, composite), precision agriculture and food processing, advanced coatings and tribology, and online monitoring of manufacturing processes. Dr. N. Venkaiah is the assoc. professor of Mechanical Engineering at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Tirupati, India. Prior to joining IIT Tirupati, he served at NIT Warangal for about 10 years. He obtained his B.Tech. (Mechanical) from S. V. University College of Engineering, Tirupati, M.E. (Manufacturing Technology) from NIT, Tiruchirappalli, and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His major areas of research interests include engineering metrology, electric discharge machining, additive manufacturing (3D printing), modeling and optimization techniques, computational geometric techniques. He has published 30 papers in reputed Journals and Conferences. Dr. N. Venkaiah received Young Scientist Project Award in 2013 from Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Currently, he is a reviewer for Int. J. Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Journal of Engineering Manufacture, Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering, and Journal of Process Mech. Engineering. Dr. S. Seetharamu joined CPRI in 1985 after serving in L&T and Best and Crompton Engineering and retired as the director of CPRI in June 2015. He is a chartered engineer and has served as a Faculty at Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan. Power engineering with special reference to energy efficiency, environmental engineering, materials technology, and condition assessment and diagnostics (RLA and asset management) are his areas of expertise. Special thrust is toward coordination/networking with professional working groups for collaboration, accreditation, and implementable work programs.
